About Me

I am currently a doctoral student in the the University of Northern Colorado. I previously received my B.A., M.A., and teaching credential in Kinesiology (Physical Education) at California State University, Chico. Prior to teaching I have been a small business owner, worked in office settings, and served in the Marine Corps. 

Like many, I was not athletically gifted during my middle and high school years nor did I play any organized sports. I was an average sports-person at best. It wasn't until after high school that I developed a love for physical activity. I enjoy all sports but hockey is my favorite (Go Sharks!). I also love traveling and so far have been to Australia, Ecuador, Kuwait, Italy, Greece, Spain, and Mexico.

Technology is another hobby of mine. Currently I am the director for an educational website for physical education (supportREALteachers.org). Our goal is promote quality physical education through accountability and access to resources. We have content for teachers, administrators, parents, and collegiate programs.
